Martin Gerdin Glass Brown Trout

The brown trout, or Salmo trutta, is one of the most prolific species of trout. Their native range extends from Northern Africa to the Arctic Circle, including most of Europe. They are voracious predators and will consume anything from mice to members of their own species. A variety of aquatic insects and fish eggs. I have spent many days targeting big brown trout with my fly rod, and I dream about the golden flash that accompanies every strike.
