The pristine rivers near Pagosa Springs stay untouched, but downtown is changing with the Highway 160 reconstruction. Running from March 2025 to November 2026, the project will bring new concrete surfaces, ADA-compliant crosswalks, and improved infrastructure. Despite the disruption, PJ’s Fine Bamboo Rods will stay open and accessible.

Minimal Impact on Your Visit
If you’re visiting our showroom or joining our bamboo fly rod building classes, don’t worry. The Highway 160 reconstruction project will have minimal impact. Access to our customer parking area will stay open, so finding a spot won’t be an issue.
For those attending our Bamboo Fly Rod Building Classes, we suggest staying onsite or nearby. This helps avoid delays or parking issues. Pagosa Springs has many charming rentals, making it easy to enjoy your classes without roadwork stress.
